ILSI Crystal was founded in 1987 with the mission to be the world's leading supplier of frequency control products. Through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, ILSI Crystal is now a global leader in designing, manufacturing and supplying a wide range of components across four brands -ILSI, MMD, Ecliptek and Oscilent. ILSI America meets the rigorous standards of OEM and CEM customers in many vertical markets, meeting a wide range of requirements with the following products: quartz crystals, crystal oscillators, MEMS oscillators, TCXOs, VCXOs, OCXOs, filters and resonators.
Abracon, LLC(Abracon), a leading global manufacturer of frequency control, timing, synchronization, RF, connectivity and power component solutions, announced on December 23, 2019 the successful acquisition of ILSI America LLC, a privately held market leader in frequency control devices, and its subsidiaries.
Abracon will continue to support new and existing customers with the ILSI, MMD, Ecliptek and Oscilent brands. ILSI America's product portfolio complements Abracon's existing offerings and provides a broader range of solutions to Abracon's global customer base. "This acquisition supports Abracon's continued expansion of its strategy as a market leader in timing and synchronization," said Michael Calabria, CEO of Abracon. "ILSI USA brings strong brand awareness and a reputation for good service in the electronics industry."
ILSI's U.S. headquarters is in Reno, Nevada, with locations in Southern California, Beijing, and Hong Kong. The company is known as a flexible and responsive organization that provides turnkey supply chain management solutions, programming services, and engineering support.
Abracon Crystal and ILSI America share a commitment to application innovation, agile support and quality of service. The two companies will combine business operations under Abracon LLC to better meet the needs of customers and channel partners. Gary Schmidt, President of ILSI, said: "We are very excited to be joining the Abracon family. Abracon's organizational strength and sales channels will expand our exposure and enable the ILSI, MMD, Ecliptek and Oscilent brands to thrive in the market."
Gary Schmidt will continue as an executive and report to Michael Calabria. At that time, the ILSI US brand will be available through Abracon's global distribution network. The acquisition marks Abracon's first corporate expansion.
